ACCOMMODATION
TOANCHE LODGE (24 bunks)
This is a 24 bunk lodge with two rooms on one level. The 24 bunks are arranged in tiers of three along one wall of a large common room with a linoleum floor. There are tables and chairs to seat 30 people.
There is a door to an outside deck from this room. This room has two doors leading to a kitchen which contains an electric stove, two refrigerators, restaurant size griddle, (propane operated - you need to bring an older style propane bbq cylinder),
A clothes dryer and a telephone is provided for emergency, collect or calling card calls. There is a door from the kitchen to an outside deck.
Heating is provided by electric baseboard heaters. The under floor of the cabin is not insulated and plans to have any person sleeping on the floor in winter time should include a vapour barrier and sufficient insulating material to ensure comfort. There are no indoor washing areas, showers or toilets. Two outside, permanently sited, non flush toilets are situated approx. 10 metres from the kitchen door.
