Astronomy

Being well north of Toronto, the nights here are very dark and as a result an ideal place for an astronomy field trip. The field is an ideal place to view the stars, and good support for telescopes or just laying out the blankets to view ... and for some to nap ..... while the stars move overhead. Falling Stars, satellites, planets, constellations. They are all there for your pleasure.

To help prepare for your outing you may want to check out the following web sites.

Boy Scouts of America: Astronomy Merit Badge Program

Night Sky Magazine

Sky and Telescope

Sky and Telescope Interactive Star Chart

Amazing Space

That should get you started ..... of course there is much more on the net, but Willy thought these were especially good.
